The Great Jungle School Giggle-Fest
Once upon a time, deep in the heart of the wobbly, green rainforest, lived three best friends: Paws the Panda, Pip the Puppy, and Peanut the Baby Elephant.
Every morning, the three buddies walked together to Jungle School. Paws usually rolled down the hills (because it was faster than walking), Pip bounced like a furry little ping-pong ball, and Peanut trotted along, swinging his backpack on his trunk.
Today was Friday, which meant it was Fun Day at Jungle School, and the friends were ready to laugh!
The Walk to School
As they strolled past the banana trees, Pip the Puppy wagged his tail so hard his whole body shook.
"Hey guys!" Pip barked cheerfully. "I have a joke! Are you ready?"
"Ready!" cheered Peanut, flapping his giant ears.
Pip: "Why did the puppy cross the playground?"
Paws & Peanut: "Why?"
Pip: "To get to the other slide!"
Peanut laughed so hard he accidentally sprayed a little water out of his trunk. "My turn, my turn! What time is it when an elephant sits on your fence?"
Paws stopped chewing his bamboo stick. "Uh... time to call a builder?"
Peanut: "Nope! It’s time to get a new fence!"
Paws the Panda did a somersault of joy. "Oh, I've got one! What is black and white and red all over?"
Pip: "A newspaper?"
Paws: "Nope! A sunburnt panda!"
The three friends giggled all the way to the school gates.
The Jungle Dance Party
When they arrived at Jungle School, their teacher, Mr. Monkey, was swinging from a chandelier made of vines.
"Good morning, students!" Mr. Monkey chattered. "Today is Fun Day, which means we are starting with the Jungle Jive Dance Party!"
Music made of coconut-shell drums and whistling birds began to play.
Pip the Puppy went first. He did a dance called the Tail-Chaser Tornado, spinning round and round until he fell over dizzy.
Paws the Panda invented a new move called the Panda Plop. He wiggled his tummy, did a spin, and safely plopped right onto his soft bottom!
Peanut the Baby Elephant had the best move of all. He did the Trunk-a-Macarena, waving his trunk left, right, up, and down while his big feet went STOMP, STOMP, STOMP!
All the other jungle animals cheered and clapped their paws, hooves, and wings!
Joke and Tell
After the dance party, it was time for "Joke and Tell." Paws, Pip, and Peanut marched right up to the front of the classroom, ready to make everyone roll on the floor laughing.
They took turns firing off the funniest jungle jokes they knew:
Pip: "What do you call a sleeping dinosaur?"
Class: "What?"
Pip: "A dino-snore! Zzzzz!"
Peanut: "Why do elephants have trunks?"
Class: "Why?"
Peanut: "Because we’d look really silly carrying suitcases!"
Paws: "What do you call a bear with no teeth?"
Class: "What?"
Paws: "A gummy bear!"
Pip: "What kind of dog does magic tricks?"
Class: "What kind?"
Pip: "A Labracadabrador!"
Peanut: "Why are elephants so wrinkly?"
Class: "Why?"
Peanut: "Because it takes too long to iron us!"
The whole classroom erupted in laughter. Mr. Monkey laughed so hard he almost fell out of his favorite tree branch!
The three best friends took a bow together. Paws gave a clumsy wave, Pip barked happily, and Peanut raised his trunk in triumph. It was the funniest, silliest, most dance-tastic day Jungle School had ever seen!
